Community Reach grant to boost opioid treatment training for police

A $15,675 opioid response grant from Colorado’s Department of Human Services to the Community Reach Center should help criminal justice staff in Adams County learn more effective ways to use naloxone and improve treatment for substance abusing individuals.

Community Reach Center received the State Opioid Response Grant through the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

The effort is meant to help opioid-using Adams County inmates and other individuals in the community who interact frequently with police and the criminal justice officials.,281806
