Dakota County people are paying for opioid abuse’s ‘cycle of destruction’ in many ways

As dangerous as people think the roads are, nearly three times as many people died of opioid-involved overdoses in Dakota County in 2017 as those who died in vehicle crashes.

The 28 overdose deaths are more than four times the amount in 2006, and another 57 people survived an opioid overdose in 2017 after they were admitted to an emergency room in Dakota County.
