Juneau County residents can learn about a drug that could potentially save their loved ones’ lives. The Juneau County SAFE Coalition will be sponsoring a Narcan training at 5:30 p.m. April 17, at the Mile Bluff Medical Center Community Room
Representatives from the Aids Resource Center of Wisconsin will be providing the training. Participants of the free training will leave with an individual dose of Narcan, and the skills needed to administer it in the case of an overdose.
“One way to fight rising overdose death rates is an opioid reversal drug called Narcan,” said Community Health Educator Kelsey Skala. “Narcan can stop and even reverse the effects of an overdose, which otherwise could be fatal.”
