Marietta congregation hosts free Narcan training

More than 20 people participated in a free Narcan training April 29 at the Congregation Etz Chaim, 1190 Indian Hills Parkway in Marietta.

The training, provided by Helping Atlantans Manage Substance Abuse (HAMSA), a program of Jewish Family & Career Services Atlanta, taught attendees to recognize the symptoms of an overdose and how to use Narcan to reverse it. Two doses of Narcan were provided to each audience member.

The training was conducted by Leslie Lubell, information and referral specialist for HAMSA.
