Eau Claire (WQOW) – In what is likely another sign of Wisconsin’s opioid crisis, Eau Claire authorities said they may use double the amount of Narcan this year than they did last year.
In 2018, Eau Claire officials used the lifesaving drug 56 times. This year, that number is already at 39. Naloxone, otherwise known as Narcan, is a drug to reverse opiate overdoses. It can be administered through the nose, as an injection or with an IV.
