BISMARCK — First-responders administered six doses of Narcan early Friday, May 25, to revive a 22-year-old Bismarck man after a suspected heroin overdose.
Police and ambulance crews were called out about 1:48 a.m. to assist a man who was not breathing, Bismarck police Sgt. Mark Buschena said.
A witness said the man had used heroin, police said.
Ambulance crews administered six doses of Narcan and revived the man after he was unresponsive for eight minutes, Buschena said. Narcan is a medication that can rapidly reverse opioid overdose.
