Training for empathy and prevention

Cpl. Adam Lillengreen has served with the University of Oregon Police Department since 2008. He became an officer of the law to uphold virtue. He would be one of the good guys.

“I got into this job for the thrill of the chase. I enjoyed finding drugs on people and arresting them. I thought I was taking drugs off of the streets,” Lillengreen said. “Then, I had a moment of clarity a couple of years ago. It wasn’t the people that are bad. It’s the drugs and addiction that are bad.”
