Youngstown Opioid Summit focuses on dealing with childhood trauma, prevention

Event organizers say they’ve learned a lot about treating addiction over years.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The state director of the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services says things are looking up when it comes to the battle against opioid abuse.

Lori Criss spoke at an addiction summit Friday at Youngstown’s Our Lady of Mount Carmel hall.

The fifth installment of the Youngstown Opioid Summit looked at prevention and dealing with childhood trauma.
